In celebration of the launch date announcement, Stardock Studios is promising an upcoming simultaneous content update for both games. The cast of Champions is back as well, complete with their unique abilities and playstyle, ensuring a varied experience each match. Staying true to its roots, Battlerite Royale will retain the top down action combat of arena brawler Battlerite, but this time around you’ll be fighting for your life on a map 30 times larger than any of the arenas from the MOBA.

But there are also things like Barrel disguises which you can use to hide and then jump – or rather, roll – onto your opponent, stunning them. You have your standard fare – Health Potions and what not. Loot for items, prepare for battle, and fight to survive as the Death Vortex closes in. Select one of several Champions, each with unique abilities and playstyles. The consumable items are very refreshing as well. Experience the battle royale thrill from above in this top-down, skillshot-based Action MOBA game. There seems to be no room for camping in Battlerite Royale, if you don’t move you don’t get stronger. The amount of abilities is very interesting to me, as you can purchase some at the start and gain the rest throughout the round. You get six active abilities as well as up to four consumable items. Like most MOBAs, there’s different hero classes for you to choose from to create a well-rounded team.
It’s ostensibly a MOBA, which, unlike League of Legends, says nuts to the whole 'base' thing and simply pits two teams of three players against each other in a best of 10 rounds team fight.
